No. Creating an account on Truvia is completely free. There is no monthly subscription, no listing fee, and no charge to create a contract.
You only pay when a transaction completes successfully. See Payments and Fees for full details.
Truvia supports 27+ transaction types across 6 categories.
Simple, transparent pricing with no hidden surprises.
Truvia charges a service fee only when a contract completes successfully. The exact percentage depends on the transaction type and the amount involved, and is always displayed before you fund the contract.
Contract breaches attract a fixed 2.5% breach fee in accordance with Truvia’s published terms.
The service fee is applied only when funds are successfully released to the recipient.
No fee is charged for creating a contract, funding it, or for a contract that is cancelled by mutual agreement before any milestone is delivered.
You can fund a contract using bank transfer from any Nigerian bank account. Truvia provides dedicated account details for each contract so funds are automatically matched to your transaction.
Crypto to crypto trades are also supported for supported chains.
Once both parties confirm completion and the vault unlocks, withdrawals to eligible Nigerian bank accounts are processed within the standard banking window, typically within minutes during business hours.
Real time for most banks.Transfers to major Nigerian banks usually land the same day.
No. Every fee is disclosed upfront on the contract page before you fund. There are no surprise deductions, no monthly charges, and no hidden processing costs.
Where a breach fee applies, it is calculated based on the amount involved and clearly stated in the applicable contract terms.
Security & Trust
How Truvia keeps every party protected, every step of the way.
Truvia uses bank grade encryption, segregated vault accounts, and multi layer identity checks. Funds are held in a dedicated escrow account and cannot be released without meeting the agreed contract conditions.
Bank grade encryption for all data
Segregated escrow vaults per contract
Timestamped audit log for every action
Mandatory dual confirmation before release
KYC (Know Your Customer) is the identity verification process required before you can fund or receive funds through Truvia. It protects both parties by making sure everyone is a real, verified person.
KYC typically requires a valid government issued ID, a selfie, and confirmation of your Nigerian bank account. Verification is usually completed within a few minutes.
If the seller fails to deliver as agreed, you can open a dispute before accepting the fulfilment. Truvia's dispute team reviews the contract, milestone updates, and evidence from both sides, and issues a finding within three hours.
Depending on the outcome, the funds are either released, partially settled for completed milestones, or returned to the buyer's Truvia Vault.
No. Funds cannot be released without the applicable contract conditions being satisfied. If a party stops responding, Truvia's escalation process applies, but the money never leaves the vault without a documented basis.
Both parties must confirm, or a dispute finding must authorise the release.
Opening a dispute is simple. The receiving party raises a ticket, both sides submit evidence, and Truvia's dispute team reviews everything against the agreed contract, not opinions.
Disputes are capped at three hours. No limbo, no stalled transactions, no silent delays.
Three hour hard cap.Every dispute resolves the same day it is opened.
Escrow Process
From first signature to final release, how every deal unfolds.
Every Truvia escrow follows the same ten step lifecycle:
Milestones split a contract into stages. Each stage has its own deliverables, deadline, and evidence requirement. Funds are released as milestones are completed and confirmed, instead of all at once at the end.
This is ideal for projects with multiple phases: design, development, review, delivery.
Yes, but only by mutual agreement. Either party can appeal to cancel, and the other party must accept the proposal. A contract cannot be terminated simply because one party requests it.
When termination is accepted, the parties agree on how completed milestones, compensation, and remaining funds are handled.
Funds stay in escrow for as long as the contract requires, typically until the agreed milestone deadlines are met.
If either party stops responding, Truvia's escalation process kicks in after three hours and the case moves to the dispute process. There is no silent indefinite hold. Every contract carries deadlines that force a resolution.
Where a cooling off period applies, it is defined in the contract itself. It gives a party a short window to review a delivery or milestone before confirming acceptance.
During this window, funds remain locked and the contract can be paused if an issue is raised. Cooling off terms are set by the parties when the contract is created and are always visible before funding.
Legal & Compliance
Licensing, data protection, and what happens if things change.
Truvia operates in full compliance with applicable Nigerian financial services regulations and is fully incorporated with the CAC as Techbytruvia Nigeria Ltd.
All escrow funds are held in segregated, ring fenced accounts that are separate from Truvia's operating capital. Where required, we work with licensed banking partners to hold and move funds securely.
The Terms of Service govern every contract and every account on Truvia. They define the rules for using the platform, the fee structure, dispute procedures, and the rights and responsibilities of each party.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is strictly limited. We only collect what is required for KYC, transaction processing, and support.

Escrow funds are held in segregated accounts, separate from Truvia's own money. In the unlikely event that Truvia ceases operations, those funds remain ring fenced and are returned to the rightful parties in accordance with the applicable contract terms and Nigerian law.
